Potelco United Credit Union was chartered in 1937. Potelco is A non-profit financial co-operative owned and operated by its members. Once expenses are met, the remaining income is paid back to the members in the form of dividends, based on the type of account and balances held by each member. A percentage of income must be held to protect the Credit Union and its members.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors is elected by the membership. Each Board member is elected for a 3 year term. The Board consists of members of the Credit Union. An attempt is made to have a representative on the Board from each field of membership. All interested members are encouraged to run for the Board.
SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE
A supervisory committee is elected by the Board to monitor the day to day operations of the Credit Union. The main purpose of the committee is to perform an annual audit of the Credit Union. |
